Dr. Ronald Heredia Inspires Workers’ Compensation Mental Injury Certification

Good Mood Legal is proud to announce the launch of the Workers’ Comp Mental Injury Claims Specialist certification program, known as WCMICS, through WorkCompCollege.com.

The concept for the program originated with Dr. Ronald Heredia, who proposed the idea to WorkCompCollege after recognizing the need for more specialized education on managing psychological and mental injury claims within the workers’ compensation system. After researching the industry, WorkCompCollege determined that no comparable comprehensive certification program existed.

Working alongside Dr. Heredia and other respected industry professionals, WorkCompCollege developed WCMICS to provide practical guidance for professionals responsible for managing work-related psychological injuries. The curriculum addresses mental injuries that may be part of an original claim or that may arise during delayed recovery, with an emphasis on managing these conditions efficiently, effectively, and empathetically.

Dr. Heredia contributed his expertise in psychological evaluations and workers’ compensation mental health claims to help ensure that the curriculum was both insightful and practical.

WCMICS is now offered through WorkCompCollege’s Advanced Training & Education Center and represents an important new resource for claims professionals, employers, insurers, and others working within the workers’ compensation industry.
